Top Awards Recognize Leaders and Contributors in Surgery
More than two dozen surgeons, trainees, and others were honored with special awards presented during Clinical Congress 2022. Recognition included the Distinguished Service Award, Inspiring Women in Surgery Award, Owen H. Wangensteen Scientific Forum Award, and awards for philanthropy, volunteerism and humanitarianism, advocacy, mentorship, professionalism, teaching, posters, and research.
Clinical Congress Leaves Favorable Impression on San Diego Teenagers, Economy
For more than 20 years, high school students in Clinical Congress host cities have been introduced to surgeons and members of the surgical team who offer insights into having a career in medicine and surgery. This year, 75 students were invited from five San Diego High Schools to participate in A Day with the American College of Surgeons.
