Surgeons from all specialties are invited to drop in on this all-day session designed to overcome administrative barriers that may hinder surgeon participation in clinical trials. In an effort to reduce this burden, the American College of Surgeons Clinical Research Program (CRP) will provide in-person support and guidance to assist interested investigators with completion of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) clinical trials enrollment requirements. Stop by for 15 minutes between sessions, at lunchtime or during the break to learn about newly activated clinical trials and access resources on the following trainings and requirements:
- Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) Identity and Access Management (IAM) ID
- NCI Registration and Credential Repository (RCR)
- Enhanced training requirements, such as Human Subjects Protection (HSP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Additional information on regulatory requirements, including HIPAA compliance in clinical trials, NCI Biosketch and financial disclosure forms
