Newly installed ACS President E. Christopher Ellison, MD, FACS, MAMSE, presides over today’s Opening Ceremony, which begins at 8:00 am in Hall F and will be livestreamed on the virtual meeting platform. Carla M. Pugh, MD, PhD, FACS, MAMSE, will illustrate how wearable technology in surgery can quantify a clinician’s haptic abilities and provide critical learning insights grounded in cognitive task analysis.
Sustainabililty and profitability are among the challeges of brining robotic technology to rural settings, said moderator Jill S. Ties, MD, FACS. Panelists will outline how it can strengthen the bottom line while providing enhanced care to patients closer to home.
The Technical Exhibition opens today in Hall G of the San Diego Convention Center for 3 days of industry engagement, networking, and more. More than 210 exhibits from 125 companies are on display with details on surgical products and services being introduced to the market.
