Latin America Day Features Presentations in Spanish

Today is Latin America Day at Clinical Congress. The annual daylong session is presented entirely in Spanish. Moderated this year by Natan Zundel, MD, of Florida, and Elena L. Gavito, MD, FACS, of Mexico, it takes place 2:30–5:45 pm in Room 1B in the Upper Level of the San Diego Convention Center.

Expert speakers will address how COVID-19 impacted countries throughout the Americas. Additional featured topics include an overview of varied approaches to similar diseases in different countries, and how to safely and effectively perform surgical procedures. Participants will learn how to formulate an original surgical treatment plan for obese patients with a body mass index of less than 35.

Latin America Day is cosponsored by the ACS and the Federación Latinoamericana de Cirugía (FELAC).
