Claim Clinical Congress CME Credit through January 2021

The virtual Clinical Congress 2020 will offer 219.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, 27 sessions designated as offering Credit to Address Regulatory Mandate, and 76 sessions designated as offering Credit to Address ACS Accreditation/Verification Requirement. Physicians are eligible to claim Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit for sessions they attend during the five-day meeting as well as sessions they complete following the meeting. The Clinical Congress evaluation and claiming deadline is January 31, 2021.

This unique, virtual Clinical Congress format will allow registrants to view any of the Clinical Congress sessions as often as desired and at times convenient for them.

Credit to Address Regulatory Mandates

Over 40 state licensing boards have established content-specific requirements for CME Credit. Clinical Congress 2020 sessions, including this content, have been identified and designated as Credit to Address Regulatory Mandates. The virtual Clinical Congress regulatory mandate content areas include: Antimicrobial Stewardship (AntiMic), Cultural Competency (CC), Domestic Violence (DV), End-of-Life Care (EoL), Ethics (E), Opioid/Pain Management (OPM), Palliative Care (PA), and Patient Safety (PtS). Individuals must check with their state to verify that the content does meet the specific requirements.

Detailed summaries of each state licensing board’s CME requirements can be found on the ACS CME State Requirements page.

Credit to Address ACS Accreditation/Verification Requirements

Institutions that are accredited or verified by the ACS require specified members of the health care team to earn credits in applicable content areas to meet the site survey requirements. The virtual Clinical Congress sessions that include this content have been identified and designated as Credit to Address ACS Accreditation/Verification Requirements and include the following content areas: Bariatric Surgery (MBS), Breast (BST), Cancer (C), Geriatric Surgery (GER), Pediatric Surgery (PEDS), and Trauma (T).  You may use the Clinical Congress Interactive Program Planner to search sessions by Credit to Address Accreditation/Verification Requirements content areas.

Visit the ACS Accreditation/Verification Requirements page for an explanation of these requirements.
